John Miller Scholarship Fund

In 2004, TriVillage Mentor League created the John Miller Scholarship Fund to honor his many years of service and leadership with our organization.

John Miller volunteered generously throughout his entire adult life. His personal credo was that "it was never the child's fault" and for that reason, children must be helped. He wanted young people to have strong role models and mentors in their lives.

His membership and leadership in organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio, the Upper Arlington Rotary Club, the Homeless Families Foundation, West Broad Street Elementary School (his elementary school alma mater), Boy Scouts of America, and the Memorial Tournament furthered his work on behalf of children. He collected numerous awards in the course of these efforts, but nothing meant more to him than knowing that a child had been helped in some way.

In December 2005, John Miller passed away at the age of 80. His memory endures and inspires our ongoing efforts through the good works of the scholarship fund.
